Great game, really pleased to see us pass the ball about so sweetly, we looked like we could open them up any time we wanted to.

You did better than the England team who fell asleep around the 35 minute mark and have only just woken up.

Isn't this how Greece won it?

Greece won by being very organised and hard-working, playing to their strengths and being clinical from set-pieces. People say they were lucky but no side turns over the host country of a tournament (and a strong Portugal side at that) twice in two games on mere luck.

England, on the other hand, are not clinical, lack the concentration and focus, and don't have a settled pattern of play.

No they weren't.

Why is that a positive? Barry played well for City this season and will be a blow to lose.

Maybe him being mugged for pace by Ozil to set up Muller for Germany's fourth goal in the last WC proves he isn't quick and mobile enough for international football. That was two years ago and I imagine he hasn't got any quicker since then.

Whereas Ozil has come on leaps and bounds since then.

Very much this.

They also had a couple of decent players as well. This always gets over looked. Judging from some people's posts you simply need to be organised to win the Euros. It's a lot more than this.

That one sentence sums up England perfectly for pretty much my whole life time of watching England play. A few exeptional games....5-1 in Germany, Holland and Germany in Euro 96 and Italia 90 against Germany and maybe a couple of other decent world cup games. The sad thing is i cant see it changing.

We spent an hour or two in the Brighton pub before the game yesterday. Will update my blog either today or tomorrow with all my pictures. Not sure where £8 a half comes from, we paid about £6 a pint on average.
