pink , yellow and green mainly with a shimmering , flickering vibration going on , difficult to describe .....beautiful , awe inspiring.I heard it’s a vivid yellow with the lights twinkling off it and it looks like steam coming off it too. Is that what you saw?

apparently caused by solar winds and polar magnetic activity so the fact its being seen so far south is intriguing to say the least.

Not the northern lights but a rare sight last night of a moonbow. Picture taken near Crook, Co Durham just prior to the Spuds getting smashed.
