Anyone been?

I'm off tomorrow morning, flying into Charlotte, then driving up the Blue Ridge Parkway before flying out of Asheville next Monday, a whistle-stop tour. How does it rate in our well-travelled NSCers' eyes?

I'm imagining it's pretty beautiful this time of year.

Ta

Been to Greensboro NC, very pretty and green - reminded me somewhat of home (England)

Some cracking golf courses to check out if your interested in that - If you do stay in Greensboro then check out the Proximity Hotel - Very swanky but Green - its a converted warehouse and they have done a tremend job with it - the restaurant there is first class as well

I've been to South Carolina a lot of times, it's pretty good. Whilst you're in th U S of A go to sticky fingers.

Yes I spent a couple of days there. Very nice place and nice people. A lot less hustle than many Northern Cities, I rather liked it.

Only been to the airport (which is full of rocking chairs) a couple of times during change overs. But they love the Brits because the whole place is named after Queen Charlotte - who might have been Charles II's wife?

I stopped off in 'Dublin' North Carolina once, on my way down to Hilton Head Island, SC...... It was mainly full of redneck truckers.
