He had one cheap shot at me about selling out at Withdean, but I soon pointed out that the away supporters don't always bring their allocation, numbers through the turnstiles don't include shift workers who are season ticket holders and people who are ill etc.
He shut up about Withdean after that, especially when I said that we only had 2 more years there but we would face opposition to make it permanent.

He agreed that Withdean had worked despite residents fears so I said why didn't he convey that to his Falmer residents and reassure them.

Ask him how much Lewes District Council have wasted fighting the stadium at the public inquiry and wouldn't it be better spent on protecting local services?

Yes I will, especially as I feel more of his constituents would back the stadium than oppose it. So the council are in fact spending the taxpayers money on something that most of the taxpayers in the area probably support.

Seriously; apart from the NIMBYs and of course Mr Baker himself, who else has any reason at all to oppose the plans (well, the NIMBYs don't really have one either as the stadium will actually help regenerate the ares, but that's beside the point)

He says he will accept the inquiry result.

His biggest gripe was that when the referendum was put to the vote that Falmer was already decided and that the other sites should have been voted on before.
He says the inquiry is now doing what should have happened before.
He states the inspectors agree with him.

He did start off saying the Falmer residents had no say in the vote but I jumped on that one by pointing out where the border was.

Somebody should ask him why an MP for Lewes feels justified in waging an ill-informed campaign against a neighbouring constituency's plans for a project that will benefit ALL of Sussex.

This is such a great opportunity to completely discredit the man. He is ill-informed, hasn't researched the reasons for us needing a new stadium, etc. He has chosen to repeat the ramblings of the NIMBYs without checking the accuracy of their arguments/statements. He has also chosen to disregard the 61,400+ votes in favour of the stadium.

I certainly wouldn't want somebody like that representing me in Parliament.

I did. He said he was representing his constituents views.

I pointed out that I was one of his constituents.

The man is a fool. If you want to attach yourself to another person's views-you should at least ensure all statements are accurate....somewhat like mine earlier when it was clearly 61,000+ signatures on a petition-not votes:dunce:

Well done Yorkie. You already of course have 'Legend' status on NSC but this just re-affirms it. Anyone else spoken to him?
