Mr Baker believes that Prescott was concerned over the three labour M.P's jobs,he says that Prescott could not say yes or no so he is just keeping things ticking over until the next election. When asked where he thinks a stadium should be built ,he said that was a matter for the club and the inquiry to decide.

Lots of letters about the stadium in the argus today too. One says that there is a superb alternative at Waterhall; some others say the club should have gone for the station site,as if we could have afforded it.Nearly all are in favour though.

The quote I didn't like one little bit was at the tail end of the article (which spilled over onto page 5)

'A spokesman for Mr Prescott's department said he had no idea when the inquiry would take place'

???

It's a nightmare. We've got to stay in this division until Dick leads us to the promised land.

I loved the quote from Angie Rowland of The Drive:

Let's hope if Brighton and Hove Albion Football Club are given the go ahead for this silliness that, when they slide back to the obscurity they rose from, the City of Brighton and it's inhabitants are not called on to subsidise the maintenance of this unnessary folly.

:jester:

Also the letter from PH Ralph, Spring Meadow, Forest Row:

We all have to make adjustments. Would it help the Falmer campaign by some reduction in the scale of the proposed stadium? It could make all the difference all round and still be adequate.

FFS, we have to track these people down and RE-EDUCATE them.

EDUCATE THEM more like! Re-educate suggests that they already have some intelligence. Unfortunately, Sussex (both bits) is full of idiots like these people...

It seems that if you send the Argus a well thought out factually accurate letter they wont print it, but if you send them an ill conceived diatribe, in it goes.

If it not what they want to say they delete parts to make the letter completely different to what you intended to say but still sticking to the words that you used.

I don't think re-education is an option. I suggest we send them back to London where they obviously came from.
I bet if it was an application to build a Starbucks or a 'Healing Centre' then they would be falling over themselves to sign up.
Complete tossers.
