FDM did say in The Argus that eh wanted to play in the Premiership but did add with us at Falmer.

So perhaps Lord B you are right it is an agent planting seeds.

Purely from the financial point of view I can fully understand both moves happening and would not be too concerned so DK will; not get a slating from me if both moves happen.

Hang on papers always tell the truth!

They reported racist chanting at our Millwall game! I was there and didn't hear any but they wouldn't lie don't they?

The Scum reported recently that LK would be off to either QPR or Sheff Wed soon!

It wouldn't weaken the side if as suggested we bought in Ian Bennett. He is experienced and I believe that I am right in saying he was their regular keeper before they got Taylor from Fulham.

I cant follow your logic here - if Ian Bennett is as good as the Dutchman, then why would a club come in for Kuipers when Bennett is available?

anyway, story is clearly by someone who knows nothing - who are "struggling" Brighton :p

I was pleased that we got good money for Currie; ambivalent about Danny; but I would be GUTTED if we sold Michel, even if it was for half a million or more and to a Premiership club.

I agrew with you. Kuipers is best keeper I have seen in Albion colours, with the possible exception of a brief spell that Peter Grummitt was here.

Selling Danny Cullip helped get us the extra three points that may keep us up!

Kuipers is f***ing quality i would go mad unless it was crazy money and Roberts was back to his best which both will never happen for a while:bounce:

Just because we get Bennett doesnt mean Kuipers will be going to Birimingham could be another club

What I have said and I believe it possible is that some club not Birmingham are sniffing around like Hull did and it would make good business sense in our financial situation if somebody offered us 'silly money' for him and MM could replace him with Ian Bennett, who has been on loan at Sheff Utd during the susupension and injury to Paddy Kenny. Or even with a keeper of similar quality.

Perhaps as Lord B said yesterday it is an agent, for whom we dont know, planting seeds to journalists.

Kuipers has been playing wll and is a saleable commodity, probably one of the very few that would not seriously weaken the side by moving but bring in some dosh.

Even the QPR programme had Kuipers as probably one of the best shot-stoppers in the country.

Getting a good keeper is about as difficult as getting a good forward. 31 year old strikers of average or below Championship quality cost about £500K (e.g. Taylor of Forest) depending on the length of contract.

We would insane to get rid of Kuipers. The suggestion is madness

It was inevitable as he is one of our very few saleable commodities and we are strapped for cash and every other club knows that so we are always susceptible to a bid for a player. Fact of life.

No news on a new contract for Kuipers, I have asked Insider x2 about it and got the standard ' DK and MM are talking to all the players in January. I hope he stays, but who knows. I cant see MM selling him with Roberts still on the sick. Kuipers saves us more points than his detractors say he costs us and he has a passion for BHAFC

Strapped for cash or not, selling our best players has always been a surefire way to relegation and increased costs later.

Why do you think Wycombe got rid of Currie in the first place? Cause they have got a better player coming through?

It may be the injured Matt Bloomfield, brother of midfielder Danny Bloomfield of King's Lynn.
