Port Vale boss Brian Horton reluctantly admitted keeper Dean Delaney was to blame for the goal which gave Oldham a late win.
Delaney was beaten by a David Eyres free-kick from very close to the right-hand touchline as the visitors went down 2-1.

"It was a poor goal to give away," Horton said after seeing his side suffer their fourth away League defeat of the season.

"Dean has done well all season, but it has to be down to him. He was daydreaming about whether to slip one to his mother or sister when he got home after the game and lost concentration"
