No tickets for FCUM game :(

Here we go again. Why do people always assume that they are some special case when it comes to tickets. FCUM want a bigger ticket allocation and I'd say its not beyond reason that they might know people in or around Brighton if the club lessened the rules regarding when registration had to occur. Therefore you had to registered to buy tickets

I agree with you-let's get this game/tie over and done with, the mancs can get on with their lives and we can return to being a manc free zone again, focused on getting promotion.

I used to love the FA Cup but it has become a massive ballache in recent years.

hmmmmmmm , not so much - the seasons where we knew we weren't going up this was enjoyable , in fact this was my highlight of the many relegation threatened seasons , but this season one main goal and that's promotion

having said that I don't want to lose to the pissing Manc scum , so whoever in the third round* , bow out gracefully there

I don't know why the club have taken this approach, why not only restrict people from buying tickets if they are outside the Brighton area?

Maybe because Brighton's fanbase is drawn from further afield than just "the Brighton area"?

Anyway, I don't even know why I'm replying to this pointless thread when the club clearly publicised the ticketing restrictions over a week ago!

Must admit I'm with the majority here. Lord knows I've slagged off the club's ticketing and registration systems enough in the past but I can see the logic behind this. The away allocation has sold out so in order to prevent away fans from inflitrating the home areas they only sell tickets to pre-registered people. It was the same with Leeds last year.

Maybe they're being a bit paranoid and maybe it could have been avoided if we'd (somehow) given FCUM a 3000+ allocation - but that's a whole 'nuvver binfest.

This is NOT a new thing, we've done it plenty of times before, Southampton home last season, Leeds home countless times, Millwall home etc etc

Perhaps you could buy tickets from the club shop in Brighton tomorrow morning, I remember doing this for the 2nd round match last year.

Just tried to get my kids grandparents some tickets for the FCUM game as they wanted to come along with us, was told as they have not registered they cant have any Seems a bit mad as they are both 75!!!!

Thoughts are that its probably the same person that decided to make Charlton away (a ground with 28000 capacity and that got 18000 for our game) members only. Customer unfriendly and the people in charge seem to think that we should run after them. Go and do something else and not worry about it until we eventually get the middle management at Brighton sent on a customer relations course so that they know they are there to help not hinder.

its nothing to do the away fans being FCUM, its the procedure used when the games is marked down as all-ticket/potential for trouble. it would and has been the same for other games, and is the same at other clubs. rather than "guess" if you are a real local or a local living away fan they adopt a clear rule of only giving out tickets to those registered.
