Well I can't see it happening anyway.

We are NOT IMO going to sell out the home ends (for the majority of games) next season, so why would the Club implement a Ticket Exchange?

A Ticket Exchange only works when games are sold out. The WHOLE of the South Stand is 'Pay per game' basis - and they will certainly want to fill those seats first.

Indeed. Unless we are in the hunt for promotion or more likely until we do get up I can't see why the club would tbf

Because the usual concept of a club-run ticket exchange is that you can only re-sell for a game once the game is sold out.

They make a percentage on each re-sale, and get the matchday revenue from that new ticket-holder. Still makes just as much sense as it ever did, even with the extra seats.

Of course I agree in principle, however I just wonder with the extra seats, how many games will actually be a sell out, thus enabling a TE to come into operation?

If i was buying seats on a game by game basis and had the opportunity to sit in a season ticket seat in the North, West etc i would much rather take that oppotunity than sit in the south stand.

But it's as a prev poster said ... ticket exchange only activates once the club have sold all the matchday tickets otherwise they lose the revenue.

Even though the OP thinks there's little liklihood of selling out there's no reason why the club shouldn't have the facility available just in case .... seems very shortsighted on their part if you ask me

As there is no ticket exchange how can you say ours would work like that?

If the club where to set one up then they should offer all free seats to fans just like they would do for cup games when season ticket holders dont take there seat allocation.

Ticket exchange..

Ticket exchange.
Hi, im just wondering back in November, you said the club were looking to start a ticket exchange system in the new year, so out of interest will this be 100% sorted for the start of the new season or are we looking to wait another season before this goes live?

Thanks

.......................

I will try and get an update on this, but we were expecting this to be live BEFORE the end of the season.

I can't pass my tickets to anyone when I can't get to a game just because of where I live although if there was a way to do it and let someone else get to see a match who otherwise wouldn't I would gladly do so - I know how I felt last season when I would have been able to get to a match that was sold out only to realise that there were hundreds of unoccupied seats. Not bothered to get anything for a ticket and happy if the club could make a bit more although I suspect the operating costs might outweigh the revenue. An exchange between fans seems the best way but as I say, physically I can't hand over my ST and don't see how that could work for many in a similar position. I do suspect many of the empty seats are "out of towners".

You don't need to hand the ticket over.

1. Place ticket(s) for sale on NSC.

2. Get payment by bank transfer or Paypal.

3. Phone the ticket office and request paper replacements for your seats. They will either post them to your buyer or hold them at the Amex for collection.

Easy peasy lemon squeezy.

It's how Ticket Exchanges work (several clubs have them). It would be daft for the club to allow a STH to exchange their ticket for a particular game when they are still trying to sell seats elsewhere unless of course they were planning on taking 100% of the revenue from the exchanged seat ... but then there's no incentive for anyone to exchange their ticket if that's the case.

That's not to say of course that they wouldn't come up with some innovative new way of doing things

South corners are ST, and they are part of the WHOLE of the South Stand.

Isn't there a fee for them to print a paper ticket?
