I agree with the original poster but I think it's often sung as a last resort when we've run out of songs to sing - or when we standing up because the stewards want us to sit down. So I'd rather sing WWF than nothing at all.

If JP was there, or for games that are on telly, then fair enough. If we sing it, and the commentators mention in then marvellous we want coverage, and people to say how ridiculous it is that we haven't got it.

Well there you go.

The more we sing it the more chance we've got of keeping the issue in peoples minds. Even if they only hear a snippet on the meridian highlights (haha). You never know who's listening and we must carry on imploring how important this is to us until everybody that has anything to do with football is sick of us going on about it.

And i'll love it when we're in the stadium and the chant changes to: "We've got Falmer, we've got Falmer" lol.

This thread is utter NONSENSE!

Singing "WE WANT FALMER" shows our support and encouragement for all those actively involved in the planning process - securing the future of our club.

Why do we sing 'We hate Palace' and 'P.A.L.A.C.E.' etc... it doesn't help our players win games ??

Any vocal support is good - and it helps create a positive atmosphere among the fans - I hope there is lots of singing tomorrow - including 'STAND UP IF you want FALMER' etc..

How about no WWF chants during open play? In the breaks in open play let's give it large for anyone who may benefit from knowing how we feel.

All the advantages and no break in the encouragement for the stripey blokes.
