Worthing
Have just moved into a flat in worthing, there is no Ariel socket for my tv. What do the good people of nsc recommend ? I just purchased an indoor aerial and its shit. Don't have a lot of spare cash at the moment so can anybody help ?

I had the same problem in Barnes, London. I spent more time fiddling with the aerial than actually watching TV. In the end, I gave up as I need subtitles to watch TV and it was fruitless. From memory, I watched a lot of DVDs, overused the internet and read a lot more. I hope that helps.

You can get boosters for those internal aerials which help...depends which way your flat is facing though...got a balcony? you can hide a bigger aerial out there if needs be...

Have you got unlimited broadband - or an internet ready tv? You can always explore those options althgouh admittedly not cheap.

I have an indoor aerial, if I plug it straight into the TV I don't get many channels but when I put it through the freeview box I can pick them all up fine.
I guess the freeview box does some kind of signal boosting
I do have an obstructed view across town to the Racehill transmitter though.

what floor? if second/third up you could use a proper aerial, fixed just outside a window, or just a window sill inside. need line of sight to the transmitter though, dont know where that is but you can judege by looking at aerials in the area.
