Nights out in Bournemouth?

Has anyone had experience of a night out recently in Bournemouth? I'm heading down there tomorrow with 3 mates, day golfing at Ifford Park in Christchurch on the way, and then being joined by another 16 for the Fri and Sat when we play Meyrick Park and Canford Magna. Been the last 2 years but I'm aware with the economy suffering that places come in and out of fashion. Can anyone help with what's currently in vogue, and if it helps we're staying @ the Belvedere in Bath Road, which is near O'Neill's in Old Christchurch Road.

Cheers..................

Have to agree with that, but you haven't seen who I'm going with!!! Just a bunch of lads from the Little Cricks in Portslade, average age mid 40's and average weight circa 16 stone. It won't matter where we drink really, just as long as we can! I'll check it out when we get down there, cheers Das

cheers Empire - We're just stopping off in Christchurch for a round on the way down. Fri,golfing at Meyrick, heard it's not up to much at that moment, but it played alright last year. Sat is Canford Magna which is top drawer.

I'd heard Boscombe is a bit shady, but can't imagine our group having much of a problem, thanks for the warning though. Think we will probably just do the strip down from O'Neill's down to Wiggle etc...

Fella i can assure you doesnt matter whatsize your group is and even if you can handle yourself, and tbh it would ruin your weekend, the place in the last 4 days has had 4 stabbings,i know my parents live in bournemouth and ive read the local papers, its prime time for the scousers that come down for the summer months, they invade boscombe and roam in packs looking for it!,and the pubs are pretty run down anyway,if you want my advice stay away til clubbing time.Have a good weekend whatevr you do

Hey I used to live in Kent and live 15 mins from B'mouth now.

Old Christchurch Road, loads of bars, then down the bottom of the bar a fine topless bar called "Wiggle bar" - top totty..
Couple of casinos, red hot birds ave it......

Iford is a very new coure, reminds me of Jarvis Brook in Crowborough, too new. Will be nice when it matures, Meryick Park is very nice in B'mouth, a dodgy par 3 going up hill on the first over 200 yards.

When you play the par 3 2nd at Canford magna ( hope I've got the right course), take an extra club otherwise your ball will get very wet!
