That one was about as surprising as the Greens winning Brighton PavilionReform win control of Kent's council.
This will be the most fascinating one yet. Kent’s adult social services are a mess. I am intrigued how this will get fixed by populism. This should be interesting.Reform win control of Kent's council.
So we can conclude that is at least one person in Kent who doesn't vote Reform. Even that feels surprising.I've just looked through the last 8 pages of this thread, and checked the stated locations of the posters who have expressed negative views toward Farage / Reform.
4 are in Brighton and Hove
None are in London
4 are in Sussex outside of B&H
3 are in the West Country
4 are in the North of England
1 in Hampshire
1 in Kent
1 in Wales
2 are overseas
As if they aren’t in a mess already. There are plenty of role models for them to screw things up, like the i360.Just a thought, all these inexperienced councillors will actually have to show they know something about running a council, and by 2029, people will realise their local councils are a mess.
It's already happened in Newhaven. We get Brighton's rubbish, and some of Brighton's deliquents housed here as well.As if they aren’t in a mess already. There are plenty of role models for them to screw things up, like the i360.
My big worry, having moved out to the sticks where councils seem to be run like clockwork, is that the Sussex unitary authority will end up being dragged to the lowest, Brighton and Hove, common denominator.
Unfortunately, this displays evidence to me of how so many Reform backers are merely sponges soaking up the propaganda.Wow all the far left lovies on here really are losing their
Are you not surprised at the results of the local elections....under this current Govt ?
But isn’t that their new form of standards that their followers are voting for?Not really surprised, nor worried either. I'm quite looking forward to the inevitable chaos and failings of the Reform councils, along with the likely scandals and racist faux pas.
Should out a few, at the very least.

Darren Grimes hasn't got a clean social media presence, far from it. It is so tempting to post something derogatory about those who voted for him, but I won't.Just a thought but to win a GE Farage will have to find over 600 credible candidates who’ve managed to keep a relatively clean social media presence and don’t dribble into their soup and win over Scotland, London, the South West and places like Brighton.
Good luck with that.
They'll soon reject her, just as the people of Morley, nr Leeds did last year. Leopards don't change their spots.LIncolnshire now has a Nazi UK mayor.![]()
One can only guess, seeing as none of them on here seem willing to share exactly what they're voting for.But isn’t that their new form of standards that their followers are voting for?
That's a bit like asking a Brexit voter for the Brexit benefitI hate to be repetitive but what were the actual policies that sold Reform to you ?
In a nutshell, it probably boils down to 'sovrinty' and 'stopping the boats', respectively - that seems enough for them. That's a bit like asking a Brexit voter for the Brexit benefit
