What do we think?

I'm not sure about him. A bit too pretty and gives the ball away too much.

About the same standard as the rest of our team.

Think he has better ability than most of our team, just doesn't use it rightly.

I like him - in the OPPONENTS half.
He's a bit of a liablity in ours.

Its easy to forget what our midfield was like without Ward and Bertin. Both are quality additions and have the technique and creative ability our midfield was crying out for. Ward finds himself in some really dangerous positions in behind the opponents midfield and has caused every team he's played against some real problems.

That sums him up well.

He is ok going forward but cannot tackle but then we have Bertin to do that who I think is excellent and will play in a higher division next season. If that happens could Fraser replace Bertin and keep Ward to go foreward, that is assuming that we sign him permanently, should we?

I hope we do sign Ward permanently. We've been crying out for a creative player who can spot a pass and do something a bit different on the ball. OK, not everything he does is going to come off, but thats generally because he's trying to do something more than the obvious and predictable "sideways crab" pass.

He seems to find the space, pops up in some good positions in and around the penalty area, and he does give us a different option.

KEEP him.

I'm far from impressed. He doesn't seem to give 100% and disappears for lengthy spells.

He's one of the most energetic players on the pitch which is saying something when he's up against the likes of Hammond, Bertin, Bas and Revell.

I'm not seeing anything that poor about him...yes he does give the ball away but that is in the nature of an attacking midfielder who wants to steam through defenses..and lay it off...

Was one of the only players yesterday who actually looked like they wanted to find the net....He reminds me a little of brooker and I liked him too...Gives us more than what fraser gives us in that position...and overall we look a better shape with him in the side than out.

His fitness levels are still not up to scratch imho but that will come!

He looks okay, but needs to devote some serious practise to using his left foot.

People have short memories. Yesterday wasn't his finest hour but last week he scored the winner. He can spot a pass - that's his strength and for that he's a much better bet than any of the other options we have. His weakness is that he gives the ball away too often but overall he's better than what we've got. Plus I still don't think he's fully match fit - we haven't seen the best from him yet.
I'd like to see Darren Currie back here at some stage. Does anyone know whatever happened to the Currie deal ?

Too far from the sun
He was the only player in our midfield who actually looked like creating something for the front men yesterday. But yet again there were the usual shouts of 'encouragement' from the back of C Block including such incisive wit as 'f*** off Ward you're useless'

Once he went off all we were able to do was lump it 50 yards in the air towards Revell and Savage. Ward might not be a crunching tackler or box-to-box grafter but he is capable of finding the sort of killer pass we have been missing for most of this season. Give him more of a chance.

Also, who was the pisshead in the sponsor's lounge who gave MOM to Dean Cox yesterday? There were several much better than Cox, especially Bertin who was absolutely everywhere
