'KNIGHT TO REMEMBER

It amazes me how Brighton and Hove Albion are survivng.
Paying out thousands for each "home" game at an athletics stadium, coughing up cash to use the University training facilities and weighed down by an over-long public inquiry into their planned new ground at Falmer. How are the Seagulls still flying?

It's testament then to the loyal ambition of chairman Dick Knight and to the coaching ability of the enduringly keen and knowledgeable Steve Coppell that they've attracted a rich young talent in Leon Knight to the Withdean.

This 21-year-old has pace, flair and an eye for goals. Watch him this season.'

Jonathan definitely has a soft spot for us.

I think he used to work in local radio in Sussex didn't he?

I remember his column in the Albion programme - in mid-'80s, I think.

Not the real one
Good on ya Pierce! You always seem to hear about the poor fans of York City and Oldham and others. The Albion's problems are forgotten about in the football world. People tend to think our struggle is over, they don't realize that its been a struggle from 1995 til today. How often do you get asked by other fans around the country "where do you lot play now then?". Quite alot I bet. Seems that a piece like that in a paper will get our cause sympathy which may put pressure on Prescott at the right time.
