Football, as a "game of the people" is gone, long gone. The money we spend on a scarf, or at the turnstiles is totally irrelevant these days, and as such they are not there for us. They are there as a play thing for the super rich owner who needs to own a football team as a status symbol, to offer an acceptable public face for someone with questionable morals (or source of their wealth) and probably as a legitimate enterprise to front (launder?) other less scrupulous businesses.
FFP Regulations are about as effective as the "Fit and Proper Persons Test", it's all a load of nonsense as all the game is concerned about is whether there is enough cash swilling around in the trough for them all to enjoy themselves.
