Why do you 'hate' Mick McCarthy?
Seems a fairly harsh reason to HATE him.
Personally, I've found that he always speaks with great honesty, and I think that his dour Northern image colours people's perception of the actual CONTENT of what he says.

Not a problem - fill your boots. I was just intrigued, as he seems a pretty funny, likeable chap, to me (just with a thoroughly dour voice).
By fielding a 'weakened team' (consisting entirely of players from his registered 25 man Premiership squad) at Old Trafford? Or am I forgetting some other nefarious crime against football?

To be fair - Mick McCarthy is from Halifax anyway, so he's not going to be put off by general Northern grim-ness.
