Hopefully once the weather sorts itself out we can get back to playing footbal - I predict 4 easy wins in a row to once again open the gap at the top.

Seagulls!

I'd happily make a prediction, if I felt I had any idea of who the next 4 league matches are likely to be against!

By the seaside in West Somerset
Dagenham away is a should win/must win
Charlton at home is a "must get a result" although they are in form at the moment and we are not
Orient at home is a revenge game after the embarrasing JPT performance and should be a win (few excuses if not)
and finally, Exeter away? Well Wednesday thought they would stroll it last weekend and look what happened to them

I'm reckoning 8 points from 12 would be exceptional but I don't think it will necessarily take us further clear

So we're going from no wins in 4, to 4 easy wins! Admire your confidence, but in challenging conditions for our footballing style, I would more inclined to agree that 8 pts and a little undefeated run would be an exceptional performance, and possibly even edge a bit more a lead out. There is no such thing as 4 consecutive easy league wins in any league!

Goring Gull, on recent results how do you predict four successive wins, after that remain un-beaten for the rest of the season?
What are your thoughts on Santa????????????

I see no reason why we cannot win the next 4 games but feel we may only geta dxraw at home tpo Charlton so will go with 10 points out of 12. Traditionally we dont do well over the holiday periods but in the past we havent had Gus and Tanno to push us.

I don't think the next four games will be '4 easy wins' atall. Our recent form suggests Exeter and especially Charlton may be tough games. I predict atleast 7 points.

Looking in the Argus tonight then on paper we have the best next 4 games out the top 8. Wouldn't like to be Huddersfield or Charlton :)

Huddersfield.

Hartlepool - home
Southampton - away
Carlisle - away
Sheffield Wednesday - home

Charlton.

Southampton - home
Brighton - away
Colchester - away
Swindon - home

If we can get 9pts out of our games then we'll be sitting pretty.

The last 4 games should not be the cause of a panic.

Hartlepool - teams lose games, it happens.
Bristol Rovers - 93rd minute 2-2.
Southampton - decent performance by all accounts, a good point.
Huddersfield - we didn't play as well as we can and nearly got a point. On another day we could have won.

Yes we have dropped points, but a win on Boxing Day and all of a sudden it looks rosier. Charlton at home is winnable, Orient is winnable and if we have just won 3 games and confidence is back we could easily go to Exeter and play the way that beat Charlton and Peterborough

The next 4 games are all winnable and cant see why you can't get 12 points out of all the matches. If Brighton get no injuries and continue to play good football and recover from there blip in form then i would go for 4 wins. These 4 wins could also get the momentum going for next couple of matches which would get Brighton with a good lead at the top of league 1.

What a difference these past few weeks have made of my expectancies of the Albion, be over the moon with 8pts but if you asked me what I hoped from these four games after Charlton or Peterborough away.........
