Would be satisfied with 4 points and second place. But now is the time for Newcastle away before they settle as a team! Definitely a chance to win and go seven points clear of them.

If we can open up a ten point gap on Newcastle, even this early, it will be very hard for them to make up. We have lost five games in fifty.

Looking at our next 6 fixtures we have a great opportunity to pull out an early gap at the top. Think 3 points from next 2 league games would be a good return but optimistically I think we will get a win Saturday and a point at Newcastle

I'm less concerned with where we are after 3, 6, or 10 games. Don't forget that we were top last season for the whole of October and November yet we're still in the championship this season. What matters is being in the top 2 after 46 games. What we really need to do is avoid having some sort of mid-season slump like we did during December/early January
