Reasons why we should not have picked such a strong team (Bissouma, Maupay, Dunk, White, Webster, White, March should not have started imo):
1) Injuries. Look at that pitch and some of Newport’s fouls
2) Tiredness. We have 2 PL games in 6 games. Yes one is Man City but West Brom got a point there. A win at Leeds would be huge.
3) A lot of examples of a cup runs being bad for a season. See Hughton’s second season as the prime example.
4) If we don’t win, or go to extra time (more tiredness and injuries) how the **** is that going to build any confidence!

How can people keep saying we've put out a strong team if we've got Jahanbakhsh playing at RWB? - or if we've just got Jahanbakhsh playing at all.
Still, we've held them to 0-0 at half time, same as Leeds did at Crawley, so we should be alright........................
PS Anyone remember that rule that says every goalkeeper has one match in their career when absolutely nothing gets past them? Newport keeper's had a good first half ......................

Yeah you're right. It's a shocking pitch. I wince every time Biss looks like running with the ball.
Good to see despite the New Year having rung in, Our Graham is continuing to roll out the Greatest Hits, such as "Having all of the ball and not doing anything with it" and "Can't work out how to break down a packed defence".

Think we've shown a pretty good attitude to be honest (although we're not playing the conditions too well). It would have been easy to make a load of pointless changes for this one and chuck in the towel. If we keep our composure then our quality should come through
