[News] Newhaven Swing bridge now fixed (17.00) but major traffic queues all directions

The bridge opening scheduled for 14.00 was ok but on trying to close it, there is still a gap of 1 foot. Pedestrians can cross but no vehicles. The engineers have been called but the surrounding roads are snarled up for miles. ie right back to Seaford to the east.

Bridge now fixed but traffic jams for miles around from Telscombe Cliffs to East Dean. A26 backlog to A27 too.
