Go see the Giants or Jets play. Even if you don't like Ameriacan football the atmosphere is awesome. Ice hockey is good too live, Islanders or rangers i think

Cue all the thats not a mans game too much padding coments

I'm planning on going in January, looking foward to it.

3 nights / 4 days. Thinking about Continental from LGW as they have the best flight times + good pricing. Any other suggestions for, decent enough but not ££££ hotels in good locations?

I went to New York last weekend and it was amazing. Was really nice and christmassy

At the begining of November:eek:

We went to the new Sainsbury's up by the station to do the weekly shop on Saturday and they've got a bloody Christmas tree up already:nono:

How soon is now?
Yep, we were there last weekend too. Christmas has well and truly taken hold in New York..

As for somewhere cheap to stay, you can do this if you don't mind being away from Times Sq. We stayed in the Times Sq Quality Hotel and it was fine. It worked out to be about £150 a night - no brekkie though, but there are diners aplenty round there. We flew with FlyZoom and they were ok, only ok. If I go again i'd probably look at another airline as prices are tumbling and FlyZoom are a bit like Monarch

Ok guys....i need some help and pointers in the right direction.

I'm in the early stages of planning a 4 day break in New York for next christmas for my 8 year old daughter, my wife and myself.

We would go out there the week before crimbo and arrive home possibly on christmas eve.

The break would be purely for sight-seeing and just taking in the christmas atmosphere for my daughter.

But i know nothing about the city or where to stay. I don't know how much it would cost or who to book with.

If anyone has any experiences or knows anything about what i want, i'd be much indebted to you.

Many thanks

We stayed at the Salisbury opposite Carnegie hall on 57th street. Very reasonable hotel and not bad.
Greenwich village is good.
