Any NSCers planning to do it this Sunday or have done it in the past?

Nope but a friend has gone out to watch her brother run it - and get 4 days shopping in ;-)

Nope, however I will be applying for 2011 when entries open next week.
New Yorks loss is Jacksonville, Florida's gain. Running the marathon next month. 13th marathon for me this year & number 38!

Ditto, I've just been accepted into Boston 2011 as well.

did it 2 years ago; better than london in some aspects; bizarre in places; if you are doing it, post here for some tips about getting to the start, although if you are doing it you should be in the big apple already

Did it in 2005 & 2007. Awesome.

Defo get to the start as early as possible. If you are on the lower level of the bridge at the start, get into the centre, they piss down from the top level.

The crowds make our brighton marathon support (which I thought was ace for this country) look very quiet.

Get your name on your running top, they'll shout it all the way to the end.

Take everything in, travelling through the five boroughs is like going through 5 different cities.

If you are arranging to meet anyone at the finish, make them aware it will take you a long time to get through the finish area.

Finally, wear your medal out the day after when shopping, 10% off in the shops!
