Article in The Telegraph today about the new wave of coaches who are putting out teams to challenge the big boys and not merely play them in a damage limitation exercise. Most of the article is about our Graham and how he does things, but they mention Howe, Franke and Cooper amongst others they consider to be an on field coach rather than a traditional manager.

Interesting read, probably behind a paywall but those who know their way around those things should take a look.

Interesting article, although it gets to perhaps an even more important factor at the end. Good recruitment rather than the scattergun approach several of the 'top' clubs use. What do their scouts actually do? Money for old rope if you're paid to 'spot' talent like Casemiro and Fofana.
