Indeed. If we can get anywhere close to Southampton we'll be doing really well. They're the benchmark as they're a similar-sized club.

Some of the pitches have already been seeded. Grass should be visible in the next few days.

It's a tremendous project and the sheer scale of it is awesome. It was good of the Club to invite the old Falmer For All team on a tour last Thursday. I was most impressed.

Some of the first team pitches that are the same as the Amex pitch have already been sown. Nope, site gets handed over to the club on 27th, June, players report back for next years pre-season training on the 30th

You may be thinking of the Amex extension, which cost around £15m. I think the club have always estimated the cost to be around £30m. Quoting from Paul Barber in the Birmingham programme of Sep 29 2012:-

On Monday evening we will have what is our biggest ‘match’ of the season so far, when Martin Perry takes his team of planning experts to Adur District Council and we will learn whether our plans for our new £29m training ground and academy get the go-ahead.
