!!WARNING!!WARNING!!

this kid is a promising player and will hopefuuly be a tidy little aquaition for us. but....

if we continue to play long ball like we did all last year he will score f*** all!

so, we must start playing football this year rather than that 'lets boot it up field and hope bob acan hold of two 6ft4 15 stone centre backs' shit we played all of last year. except maybe reading away, cov away and sheff utd at home in the first half.

Great news. Well done Sir Stevie. Has there been any news yet about whether the Beach Boy will be staying with us for any longer?

Lets hope we stop the long ball game we seemed to start playing last season.

Who do you want to partner him up front ? (realistically)

I see the Palarse have released Akinbiyi on a free.

I know his record is not great - but he's built like the preverbial brick shit house and could give Knight some decent support ?

Surely he could do a job in the Second Division - or not ?

Could be useful. Knight and this unlucky Swiss bloke could prove useful, and with Chris McPhee scoring goals in pre-season and Goal King Jake Robinson gagging for a first team start, it would seem that Sir Steve knows what he's doing after all.

Who is the Swiss bloke???

You'll have to forgive me but living so far away I don't hear the local news, especially pre-season. Is he any good and what's the background?

Played a few Premiersh1te games for Bolton - mind you who hasn't.

Had a loan spell with Norwich and scored a few goals but has had ligamnet problems - could be Kitson on disguise.

???

Great signing. I too was very impressed with his performance for Huddersfield at Withdean in addition to the number of goals he scored that season.

OK, he didn’t score to many last year, but then I don’t think Wednesday scored many as a team.

Burgess and Sidwell were unknowns when Coppell signed them and both had very goods seasons under his guidance. So safe in the knowledge that Knight did well at Huddersfield, hopefully, we can expect a decent return from him with Coppell as his manager and in a team that has proved it can more than cope at this level.

How many games did he play last season? Tottenham have just signed a striker whose goal tally was crap in Div 1 last season but scored a hatful the year before in Div 2.

Second (or third choice) replacement for Steve Hunt/Paul Brooker?

http://www.soccernet.com/england/players/knightleon.html

Is Leon Knight left or right footed?

Albion need a left sided midfiedl/winger who can score a few goals. Does this player fit the bill?

Need a tall midfielder with some physical presence (or else we will tend to bypass the midfield entirely at times) and the "target man striker" now.

This is very good news... we now need to either sign Giallanza, or someone else to partner Leon... we also need to replace Brooker... but things are looking a little brighter at long last...

I hope he does well, and the deal is made permanent, and before other clubs start sniffing around a la Reading/Sidwell... our board need to realise that sometimes it is wise to invest in the playing side...

Maybe Sir Stevie is so good he doesn't need the money, but I still think he should be given, say, half of the Zammo proceeds...
