I can't wait for the new shirt, don't care about the colour or the crest, it's an Albion shirt and that does it for me.

Agreed. esides i think the club needs all the money it can get from kit sales!

Just been up the club shop and overhead a conversation that they will be in next week (along with reading tickets by Tuesday or being sent out tuesday), also one bloke asked about the kit and I butted in syaying about the sky blue stripes....the woman behind the till just stared at me as if to say "how does he know I wonder?!?"

Fine by can they really throw tradition that is the colours out the window, what right have they got to do that without consulting the fans?

they own the club......duh! :p

seriously though Buck, we had the all blue Phoenix Brewery shirt back in the 80', we've had the same old stripes for donkeys, change happens and sometimes its nice.

That's what it's all about, the club deliberately change it to light blue stripes and make out like it's a cock up... So in a years time the can go back to the traditional blue stripes hence conning more money from the fans by not keeping the first kit for the normal 2 years.

What?... ???

Is this a wind-up, or are we honestly playing in Argentina tops in the coming season?

What is happening?

But the blue used was pretty much the royal blue that the club have been associated with.

The cynic in me feels that the club will bring this out, there will be bitching, but there will be enough people out there that will buy anything that the club produce, however crap it is. They are expecting a lot of moaning, so at the end of this season, they will go OK, got it wrong, should not have changed the blue and we get a new home kit next season, with the proper blue at a bargin £40 and all the same people go and buy it again.

On NSC for over two decades...
I'm not entirely sure why you're all so upset. If you look back at some old black and white photos of the Albion in action the blue stripes are quite light (I'm assuming they're blue), and there isn't a club badge to be seen. This strip could be the most 'traditional' in a long time!!

Apparantly Erea sends out a catalogue of shirts to all the teams they supply. The teams then pick a kit and send in the artwork for the badge and sponsor. Erea send you the kits a week or 2 later, Middlesborough are a good example of this, they got their kit out of the catalogue and thats fine for them, they have already sold loads.
We on the other hand have to design our own (well DK has to design it himself) so we get our kit later than everyone else.
Some kits turned up a few weeks ago but they had the errea badge and sponsor embroidered and the club badge in vinyl (like the sponsor on the yellow shirt). DKs able bodied team then had to send them back and re order again.
Duh!
We should have had the kit out by now but the club didnt sort it out because they have to do things arse about face, shame really.
Amateurs.

yeah true about the blue. BUT these days the kits have at least a 2 season "now new shirt" warranty type thing so they wont release a new one next season, besides helping out the club in terms of money is not wrong in my book, if it we're Man Utd ala the fiasco a few seasons ago then sure its wrong. But we are struggling financially and if its got BHA on it i'll buy it...as the baseball cap I just bought today. People will buy new shirts and will have more of an incentive to do so if its a major change like his one could be.

I too prefer the dark blue but i'm not complaining as if it was the same then it'd look just like last seasons kit (albeit without the possiblity of the badge)

If you feel you have a case then by all means rally up as many people as possible and target Dick Knight, I'm sure he'd LOVE that right in the middle of the inquiry :dunce:
