New series of Spooks

Tomorrow night on BBC.

Can't wait as IMHO this has to be one of the best things the BBC has ever done. From the first episode when Claire Goose had her face put in a deep fat fryer to the last episode had me glued to the goggle box from start to finish.

Is this just quality or is it another Marmite ( love it or hate it ) scenario

THE best television programme for years by far. I have also been glued to this since the 1st episode of the 1st series - cannot wait.

I have hardly watched any TV over the last few months but that will change at 9pm tomorrow!!

i LOVE spooks.

like peeps have said, its one of the best programmes on the BBC for ruddy bloody ages.

bit pissed off i'm shooting tomorrow night but i'll have to remember to set the video!!

I did think the 1st series was superb, with a new scenario each week, a different set of threats.

But then the 2nd series got bogged down with character-specific storylines and though I stuck with it and will watch again, it's nowhere near as good as it promised.

I cite as a parallel The Bill before it went hour-long. It had self-contained episodes, good drama, a mini hark back to Play for Today, but now it's soap-opera tedium.
