Just found this and thought it was a joke at first...

Get behind the steering wheel of one of the many different bus models and master one of the countless tracks in the fictional city Megacity. But keep and eye on the timeplan and transport as many passengers as possible. Reckless driving or unpunctuality will result in a bad reputation and penalty fees. Only when you keep the schedule, you can arrive at the bus stop when the most passengers are waiting. Too early or too late and you won’t be able to sell that many tickets. Depending on your success and reputation, the tracks get more difficult, longer and more complex.

Features

* 18 different tracks in a huge megacity
* 34 different missions
* 8 different bus models in 4 classes, downloadable buses via internet
* Tycoon elements (ad spaces, buying/renting of buses, ticket prices, promotion offers etc.)
* Huge city model with traffic, pedestrians and lots of details
* Different camera views including bus driver view (cockpit view)
* Help system for beginners
* Highscore list and online highscore system
* Different daytimes and weather conditions
* Easy to use interface

Great Scott, whatever next? Dustman Simulator?

I hope Brighton and Hove is covered, I want to have the opportunity to organise the buses outside Withdean after matches.

I think that would make a very good scenario add-on pack.

For some reason, when I opened this thread and saw the picture, the word 'Perseus' just popped into my head.

The title suggests another version will be released next year. Bus Simulator 2008.......by the looks of it, it will look as good as Crysis by about the time buses no longer exist. Truly horrible looking game. :thud:

I think that I might have spotted a gap in what is obviously a niche market, as you can now buy flight, train and bus simulators...how about taxi driver, you have to master the art of sitting in traffic, being moody and talking over your left shoulder whilst trying to drive at the same time...I had this bloke in the back of my cab once, you will never guess what he said...etc, etc.

MYOB, I was seriously taking the mickey there, would be fun to have a version with London though...wonder if you could include an add on of sat-nav, or would you have to pre-qualify by doing the knowledge on a scooter with a clip board on the handlebars?

I used to work with a bloke who had a bus fetish. He would spend his weekends travelling around the country to ride the buses on their routes. So for example, he'd drive up to Derby just so he could ride on the 10A from Derby to Ilkeston and back. He also had a cactus on his desk that looked like an erect penis.

There's actually a Japanese arcade version of a train sim in the local bowling alley. Had a go on it out of curiosity but kept oversailing the platforms and making the Tokyo commuters scream - all the instructions were in Japanese and i didn't have a clue what I was doing.

The Japanese do some pretty random stuff, I found a game recently where you had to run a sushi bar...fortunately the instructions were in English and it kept me amused for about 15 minutes.

I am about to launch a walking simulator on all formats. Not really, obviously because it would be shit.

And how exactly did you "find" it? ???

I like to keep up to date with PC game news. Unfortunately the demo of Bus Simulator doesn't work on my PC which is an arse.

It reminds me of an episode of Family Guy where Peter goes to an arcade and plays on "Virtual Stuck Behind a Bus"

...and I thought it was just a joke
