Let's not slaughter the man before he's even announced as a candidate by the club, shall we? IF he gets the job (assuming the Indy's even correct) we have to give him our backing. Have a pop when something goes tits up, not before.

Unless it's Rix...

Gray doesn't appear to have the biggest personality in the world, then again neither did Coppell. We certainly don't want some untried and tested 20-something (sic) like Merson.

High up on the South Downs.
Gray was that rarity ....a disaster at Soton. He hasn't got what it takes to be a manager like Jeff Wood and Hinsh....probably a good coach but we already have three.

Meopham, Kent.
Can't see Gray getting it and there is NO WAY it will be Merson.

Merson would be an awful decision, and Gray not much better. Both only marginally better than Rix. If any three of those where to get the job i for one would start calling for DK to step aside.

Cotterill, if thats the current favorite, is barly acceptable. If this is the talent in the frame, just stick with Booker.

Difficult to judge him on his time at Southampton, didn't have too much of a chance. He could be one of those young managers in the Adams mould, DK will need to seek advice from those who have worked with him. I'm sure he has.

I seem to remember he had a pretty good chance. Took over towards the end of the season with the team riding high when Hoddle left and they immediately turned to shite.

It was astonishing when they kept him on but obviously they were trying to save money.

When they started the new season and were just as bad as everyone except the Chairman had guessed they would be, Gray was sacked.
