Might be like gambling websites? I.e. send in a scan of your passport, no chance I'm doing that to some dodgy purveyors of porn. Back to the lingerie section of department store catalogues.
Thanks, I wondered about this when I heard it mentioned on the radio the other day. I am glad it may stop minors looking at extreme porn.

Usual idiotic crap from governments who don't understand that any 14 year old with a smartphone will be able to easily avoid such "blocking" of sites.

Blocking TPB and others has obviously completely stamped out file sharing, oh hang on....

It's being seen to be doing something rather than actually doing anything as per. Total waste of time and money.

I'd say it's like sticking your fingers in the dyke but I guess that's been banned too. Morons.

Seemingly the mechanics of the law are to be applied by the British Board of Film Censors and will potentially block sites which display "unconventional" sexual activity.

Before such law becomes statute. I'd be interested to hear from our MP's what sexual activity they as individuals would define as unconventional. We're always being encouraged as a nation by our lords and masters to "embrace our diversity". Not in the sexual realm it seems.

So basically someone's job at the British board of censors is to search the Internet to verify and block piss porn!!

Would love to see that job specification !!

The chances of this ending up on the statute book are remote.

It would be very difficult to define 'unconventional'. One man's meat is another man's poison etc.

It's a really dangerous move. Block legitimate sites like Pornhub, which have rules and safety features and it will ensue a proliferation of porn on social media sites which will circumvent the restrictions. This is extremely dangerous and puts children at much greater risk of viewing and sharing such content.

We're heading more and more to a state like China, with our own intranet and stricter rules for journalists and bloggers.

And still people think the Tories are the answer?

Shame Blair's government didn't back the porn industry when they wanted to create a .xxx domain. Would make it much easier to block access to all porn sites in the home etc. But because it wasn't government's idea they dismissed it. Bunch of idiots.

Are they really going to ban necrophilia, bestiality, and flagellation?

Sounds like they're flogging a dead horse to me.

Tor Browser is your friend (along with your right hand of course)

Not sure if you want to use Tor for that after some of the horror stories of what is available on there - I think it was invented by the BBC staff in 60/70s, however you can get some of mother earths finest brain stimulants on there
