Middlesbrough striker Michael Ricketts has agreed to sign a three-year deal with Leeds.
If he passes a medical, the 25-year-old will sign on a free transfer and become Leeds manager Kevin Blackwell's fifth signing of the close season.
He cost Middlesbrough £3.5m from Bolton in January last year but scored only four goals in 38 appearances.
It is thought Leeds will pay a fee for Ricketts if they win promotion during the term of his deal.
