With all this goodbye Errea stuff on the Albion website maybe there could be a chance we will use the new strip in the next home game?

More likely the last. Or at least unveiled at one of the two.

So they pay the minimum wage as set by the Indonesian Government? - Surely if that isn't enough to cover basic costs, the international pressure should be to get the Government of Indonesia to change the legislation so that the minimum wage covers basic living costs (but there is of course the risk that by increasing this wage, all you do is make everything else more expensive due to higher staff costs which have to be recovered from somewhere and ultimately the workers arn't better off than before and would still struggle to provide the basics)

Surely it shouldn't be just the employees of large international companies like Nike that should be responsible for what the minimum wage is in Indonesia, what about all the other workers in Indonesia that earn the minimum wage but wouldn't be better off if companies like Nike paid more because they don't work for them? won't they still struggle to make ends meet?

Other workers WOULD be better off if international companies paid their employees more.

You are correct that raising the minimum wage across the board would have little effect because all that happens then is that the same resources circulate within the economy.

However if additional real cash is injected into the Indonesian economy via relatively higher wages for international company employees this will be used within the local economy helping it to grow and consequently benefit the whole population.

How many employees do Nike have compared with the working population of Indonesia? You could be talking about a tiny fraction as a percentage of the entire workforce and although a few may benefit from a high wage, the vast majority wouldn't be affected by any rise in wages plus you then risk the manufacturer relocating to somewhere else where staff costs are even lower (but could still be equal to or above that countries minimum wage) meaning that the Nike workers in Indonesia are out of work and having an impact on the local economy, possibly with a domino effect of putting other workers out of business (supply chain workers, etc)

Higher wages could also lead to inflation as goods prices go up to try to cash in on the extra spending power these workers would then have meaning those left on the minimum wage could suddenly be even worse off.
