The Terrace still finding its feet...

After cancelling the awards night event due to lack of interest, the Eurovision thing just about went ahead last night.

Only around 60 tickets sold made for a rather strange experience in a venue designed to accomodate 1,000+ people.

At least they'd all have got a seat without having to turn up three hours beforehand hurrah

The club may well be waiting for the weekend's games ( up to Tuesday night) to see if there's a possibility of something to play for.

TBH I'm not that keen on the club effectively trying to take away business from local pubs, doesn't feel very community minded. And when I see The Terrace closing at 2am(!) and see adverts claiming it's 'the hottest new venue in Brighton' I also think the club has lost it's mind a bit.

what a ridiculous argument, by this logic, anything the club do is bad for local businesses as even the concourses being open after the match encourages people to not buy elsewhere.

Its a new venue providing what lot of supporters have been asking for ever since the ground opened- do you expect the club not to try not to make money?
Any new venue that opens anywhere is trying to take business away from someone else, I really dont understand your argument at all

What time were the last trains out of Falmer last night?

The N25 bus runs every 11/12 minutes all through the night, so getting back into Brighton would've been relatively easy

Tbh, The Ruby has gained £6 from me post match.
My usual routine post match was concourse beer, malinger then get straight on a bus (after a walk) at the bottom of Coldean Lane. It's now turned to concourse beer, Terrace beer, malinger & have to wait for the bus (after a walk) at the bottom of Coldean Lane so I might as well get a beer in The Ruby whilst waiting.
Once the novelty has worn off I don't think it will make much difference.

They look interesting and nicely priced

I do feel the club need to be a lot more creative, and flexible, if they want to fill this venue on a regular basis......chats with ex-players and quizes wont cut it long term. A venue of this capacity has great potential..and to a degree is unrivaled in the city.
