New Family Sports Bar in East Stand

Basically it's an upgrade on the East stand brassiere where loads used to meet up after the game for a drink. Always full of kids then, great to see it back, was wondering why they shut it as always busy

Silly old bat
Anyone know what makes it a "sports bar" other than the fact it's in a football stadium?

The bar also sports artwork paying tribute to sporting icons with a Sussex link, including Olympic gold medalists Steve Ovett and Sally Gunnell, world champion boxer Chris Eubank and former Albion schoolboy Gareth Barry.

The queue was too long so I gave it a miss.

1-40, raining and 20 people queuing outside, sent me to the concourse.
My brother went in and said its ok. bit cramped with the pool table and table football game.

Went in after the game for a bit. Not bad. Pints in Glasses and lots of bigger TV screes.

Pool table and table football which was keeping the kids busy but as someone without kids it was a bit too much like a kids playground than a bar so doubt I will go there often.

Squeezed in at around 1:15. Nice artwork on the walls, but didn't stay long. Harveys was off, so I had a Guinness and the only food available was crisps. Seems like a good use of the space, but I am not sure I will be in a hurry to make use of it. I will likely try again in a few months, when the fuss has died down.

I went with my Dad, little brother and sister. We queued for a whole 10 minutes to get in, and probably the same to get a drink. This was absolutely no problem as there are so many screens you can always watch the football. Once we had our drinks we stood for a few minutes and then bagged ourselves some Blue Recaro dug out seats. Some nice bits of sporting memorabilia on display and a nice atmosphere, there were ac few teething problems but I'll certainly visit again.

Neither here nor there
I took a look. Loads of seats and big screen TVs but really wanted a pie as well as a pint, so ended up doing a circuit of the place before heading for the concourse. Quite a nice addition to the facilities but not sure how often I'll be going there.

A sports bar in Vegas has a dozen 10 foot screens showing racing and sports, a casino and a poker room. Is it anything like that?

Sounds horrific although obviously ideal for Las Vegas.

Should of been Weatherspoon's that would make Grandad happy
:drink:

:needpics:

I very rarely go into a Wetherspoons ; this myth of me and Wetherspoons came about because I said about the councillors of Haywards Heath rejecting an application because it could have had a disastrous affect on their trade and income. So even a Wetherspoons at The Amex probably wouldn't have induced me to drink there unless they had some decent real ale in a proper glass rather than that at present. I accept that they couldn't have glasses on the concourses the problem is that in the bars that can and do have glasses they still have the same selection of drinks.
