I just think that this new stadium is going to be stunning, far better than so many of these "flat-pack" grounds elsewhere. These images we are seeing, I reckon the real thing will be even more spectacular. Comon the new stadium!

I just got me a new wallpaper, those images are fantastic!

It looks great. I think it has to be great to make people want to go. If it looks and feels like a Colchester job then people wont feel anywhere near as compelled to go. If its something really special then I think it will add significant numbers to the gate.

The one thing I dont like the look of is the corners. The space between the stands seems a bit too far away and could effect the atmosphere. I hope its just the artists impression that gives it that feel.

It'll help when we need to squeeze in another 10,000 seats though!

I guess the corners are so we can expand capacity when we get to the Premier League

I think it will look quite small round 3 sides what with the main stand being so big.

I know the the club have said the corners can't be filled in but surely they can.

I can't quite tell for certain but to me it looks like the stand opposite the main stand has been designed to allow for a second tier to be added at some point, similar to MK Dons stadium.

I don't think we need to worry about the corners.

Most of the new Eaz-E-Build, flat-pack, crap-o-rama stadiums about have the corners filled in and they have rubbish atmospheres- Southampton, Leicester, Middlesbrough.

Molineux, for one, has open corners, and is capable of generating a brilliant atmosphere, while I don't think Stoke necessarily suffers from having one end separate either.

Worry not, it'll be fine

I think our biggest problem will be filling it after the 'hype' dies down (which it is going to do).

We cant be playing Man City every week (not for the first few years anyway) and it will be hard to top 6000 week in week out in League 1!!

They look amazing, and it no doubt will be amazing - that's the future of the club. But - maybe it's just me - but after a night like last night, I also won't ever look back at the Withdean era with anything other than fondness. We've had some of the greatest games in our long history at that shithole.

Agree to a point, the fact is, people will WANT to come to the football in a nice stadium. I think our core fanbase will increase by a lot. Soooo many people you talk to say they'd definately come to falmer but can't be bothered to pay a fortune to sit at the track they ran around as kids...

Thats the hype I was talking about.

The first season or maybe 2 seasons will be nearly sell-outs if not completely sold out but after that when everyone has been there, there wont be that hype around the stadium anymore and unless we improve on the pitch we wont be getting much more than 6000.

Its not a dig at the club or fans, just look at the attendances in League 1 this season and except for Leeds they are not that high!
