Of course we should stick with Sven. I do think there are some unrealistic expectations, our record in international tournaments has not been fantastic, especially in the European championships, and getting to the quarter-finals is not below par - in the last 30 years, we've done better than that just twice (and one of those was with home advantage).
Last night we achieved a draw against a team that was one of the favourites before the tournament started, a team against whom we had lost our previous two competitive games, a team whose champions won the Champions League and a team with home advantage. We got the draw and with a decent referee we could have won, that's a reasonable achievement.
A few days ago, there were some people on NSC who were talking about getting to the final as if it were a stroll; now there are people talking about getting rid of the manager. Both positions are plain daft; we've got a good, but not great, international team. Since Sven's been in charge, we've been punching above our weight. What reason to change?
