Just binged it and you're right, really good ( though I prefer subs not dubs )

Bits of Starship Troopers, Dawn of the Dead and Invasion of the Bodysnatchers ,

yes, agree with the subtitle bit. I think the problem was that I was working on a project and couldn't give it my full attention, hence dubbed english in the background and frequent glances at the screen worked at the time

Long thread, so may have already been mentioned but Dept Q is a very watchable gritty cold case detective series. Dark and depressing at times but well acted and compulsive viewing. A Series where very few in it seem to like each other

Literally finished watching it after starting on Monday …… as you say, compulsive viewing ..bits of humour (for example right at the end) mixed in with that dark stuff.
