What!!??

Churchill followed through on all of his self penned speeches. He promised to defend our Island and did so and more. Obama is a pretty average public speaker, although he uses every trick in the book from how he holds his hands to cadence of his voice. However, he is a megalomaniac who talks things up but has a string of broken promises behind him and an amazing jelly spine. He's the whitest first black president USA will ever have.

Yes, all the feelings of hope and optimism have gone now. He said he would kickstart the arab/Israeli peace talks and shut Guantanomo Bay among others... all broken.

Quite. He is simply not strong enough for the job. He was only ever a trophy President to placate the world who was starting to hate the US.

I didn't see an official thread on here, but who wants to start the "Just back from the Stadium" one?

Barack's got to be the best speech maker of our time, makes Churchill look like an amateur

Are you actually serious? Really, 'maker' if you meant writer, you're naive to think he writes them, no modern leader would have the time.

If you mean orator, then Obama is awful. Absolutely awful, the Washington D.C. naval yard conference he made was terrible. Many of his speeches were terrible. How this one spoke more passionately than his SOTU address, I have no idea. He had a good speech, but he's still an awful president.

Quite unfathomable that 3 national leaders thought that a selfie was a good idea... Says a lot for their true feelings on the subject

No worse than Obama referring to Mandela's incarceration by a cruel regime yet when he was released showed no bitterness..... well Mr President, did you think about Guantanamo at that point ? How bitter are those people, locked away without trial, going to be ?

Ah, well that's obviously completely different isn't it, they're the bad guys that did wrong. Mandela's a good guy who did right. Probably.
