Neil Warnock could get any team out of the championship, at his age it wouldnt be long term, he could get Brighton promoted and then hand over the reigns to someone more likeable

Bloom wants the club to play a passing game and the club is set up that way from junior teams upwards. Employing Warnock would mean changing that and would negate all the training and player scouting that has and will take place. For that reason Warnock will never happen.

Doesn't really fit the template of a young, fresh-faced coach that wants to play a continental style of passing football that Tony Bloom seems to favour, does he?

or indeed many other chairmen....just one problem...they are all losing their jobs before their system has been given a chance to prove itself.

One of the most successful, experienced managers around. Tarred with the same brush as Pulis and Allardyce by those who think they know something about football but in truth know next to nothing. Those other two ' dinosaurs ' didn't do too badly last season, compared to Hughton, Magath, OGS, Mel, Lambert, Poyet etc.

Neil Warnock should be our new manager. It wouldn't be pretty but if we want someone who knows the division inside out, has proven experience of getting teams promoted to the premiership, there aren't many with better records than straight talking Neil Warnock. He's a winner and would get us up.

“Walking along, singing a song, walking into Warnock's wonderland..."

Sorry but employing Colin W the piggy supporting football equilivent of a black hole would be a huge mistake???

Most pundits think that Poyet had a successful season with a Wembley final & miraculous survival. In fact, he was runner up to Pulis for manager of the season.

Why would you make CMS your most expensive signing then ?

CMS hardly played in a long ball team before he joined Brighton, did he? Surely the style of play needs refining, i.e. needs a bit more cutting edge, rather than just be broken up altogether. Patience is a virtue.

Spain have Iniesta- we had Keith Andrews and that's where your statement falls down!

Having players of Iniesta's quality helps, but is not essential for playing a fluid passing game. Swansea have played that way for several years now, starting out with players of League One standard and has played a big part in their elevation. It will be good for Brighton to stick to their guns despite a couple of near misses rather than prioritising short term gains only to then rip things up every year.

Poyet played him as a lone striker obvious to everyone apart from Poyet this is not playing to his strengths. He thrives on balls over the top to use his pace, I never mentioned anything about a long ball game. His contract expires next summer so I hope we refine things soon then.

this.

imho our problems are in the final third, when we hit teams with pace it can be sublime, but its rare. Not enough crosses, not enough shots, to much sideways and and trying to walk it in to often.

This passing game is great in the right part of the pitch, but slowing down and going backwards around their 18 yard line (giving opposition defenders time to reposition) leads nowhere..... great defensively not so great offensively.

Look at the way Derby played with pace (giving defenders limited chance to regroup) , and I read McLaren has instilled that they can pass around as much as possible in their own half, but when attacking in the opposition half he wants one touch and the ball/players to move forward.

They were pretty well organised defensively under Clough, Shteeeve has just added the attacking dynamic they never had before.

We need to adapt our attacking play, quicker breaks, more pace and more adventure. the rest is alright

Ok...bit harsh to put Gus in there....delete him but leave the others where they are.

It took Mclaren a few weeks to get Derby playing this way, if anything we are going backwards in the attacking department. We need a manager whos own CV is not the priority, a manager that has some balls to play attacking football in the first half of a match, especially at home.
