Stop getting so defensive clearly you are part of this love child conspiracy so where do you fit in the jigsaw.

What are you guilty of ?

Turkey's quite entitled to his view, after all this is supposed to be a forum.

I was at the game and I have seen him several times now, so feel able to comment on him fairly.

As a winger he lacks pace, and seemed reluctant to take players on, preferring instead to try to play a sideways ball.

He doesn't appear to have any trickery or guile. Certainly not enough to make players back off him.

On the few occasions he had the ball I thought he gave it away more often than not.

If he can cross the ball then I have yet to see decent evidence of this, probably because he can't get to the corner/byline due to his ineptitude in other areas.

So...he has little pace, lacks courage to dribble with the ball and cannot distribute. Not a lot to recommend him really.

We shouldn't dish out contracts to players because they're cheap. I'd rather rely on our home-grown talent and wait for other players to become available.

Since when has Brighton settled for second best in the wingers department: Hart, Brooker, Ryan, Towner, to name but a few.

I never said he was good. I never said he should have a new contract.

He was no worse than some of our other players this season though. Leon Knight didn't do a thing. Other players have played well on occasions however Lee hasn't had the same amount of games as others. And as soon as he gets near the pitch he gets abuse. Reminds me of the Butters scenario - okay Lee has had two years and done nout to Butters one year of shite but Butters got the chance to play this year. It must be hard for Lee to make an impression from the odd sub appearance and this one start. Especially when he'll be lacking match sharpness.

David Lee was a not a disgrace on Saturday. He didn't let himself or the side down. Does he deserve a new contract? Probably not considering what we've had from him over two years but he does deserve a chance to play for one. Thats why McGhee played him I think. He didn't make such an impression to suggest he should play again but give him a chance. He really hasn't had much of a chance and we're not helping him by slagging him off.

Don't make the mistake of thinking I think Lee is good, should play bla bla bla. I just think some people are very unfair on him. It's like we always need a player to call shit. I suppose for some people its a role which needs filling within their team. Watson, Mayo, Oatway, Butters, McPhee bla bla bla.

Does he deserve the chance to play for a contract in a vital away game that may strengthen a play-off position against the weakest Wednesday side we've ever played ? Especially with Piercey there (that's his attitude on a downward spiral now I imagine).

I don't think he is sh!t by the way or feel the need for a blame culture to unfairly demonise at least one Albion player at all times. I just do not think he is good enough for Division 2 and playing him weakens a potential play-off side. Think that is fairly clear personally from his (admittedly) few appearances. I would suggest too not blaming his lack of games on not being given a chance, blame it on the fact he hasn't earnt the chance under under a number of managers. Being loaned out regularly is sometimes indicative of not being close enough to the first team to warrant a place in the ressies. He is 24 not a young player who may benefit from the loan experience.
