i'm sorry but having had the back page of the argus read to me by a mate of mine, it sounds absolute bollocks. Sure SC might well be on his way. I genuinely don't think he has made up his mind. I certainly think when he does , it will be done with an offical press conference. All this speculation that he has gone, i.e" sources have told us that" is crap. Coppell is a private person and does not give huge hints. Naylors sentence saying that " I understand Coppell has more or less agreed terms is shite. Naylor and understand don't really go in the same sentence. I won't believe it until i've heard it from the man himself

Talking shit is all that 'Billy Big Knob' (copyright Meade's Ball) ever does.

He's taken a punt on the back page because it's 90% certain.

That's good enough for an "as exclusively revealed yesterday" story when the news does break tomorrow.

If the 10% chance of him staying does materialise then you will see banner headlines about how Coppell had a change of heart.
e.g. "As we exclusively revealed on Monday, Coppell was all set to join Reading..."

Hove, f***ing ACTUALLY.
Without wishing to defend the undefendable he (or the media in general) does have a source.
Step forward Mr Martin 'Shitstirer' Hinshlewood

Naylor's an opportunist simple as that and it's his job. I make no apologies for what I wrote last night, I quoted a genuinely reliable source (IMHO) and invited people to make up their own minds.

I was wondering when we'd get round to blaming Naylor, he hasn't come in for a good kicking on NSC for ages.

I don't see blame being apportioned-merely a confirmation that Naylor talks shit again...

He'll (Naylor) be eating shit if he is wrong!

Pity as I am not great guns on Steve Coppell. It would certainly be better if he stayed on for a bit longer.

Now, I suppose, we have to put up with Bob Booker's mistakes: even if he is good, the inevitable loss of points here an there could be the difference between going up or not.

And some people think it is too early to go up before the new stadium. I am not one of them. Too many Albion players at their peak of their careers, and if we don't go up in the next two seasons, we will need a few youngsters to come through or some new players (ones that are not crocked).

I do not go for many of the new youngish Managers. Many of them played their football in the "percentage" era of British football, the "kick and rush" era, and Steve Coppell was a bit like this as a Manager with Palace. I would go for the Managers that are brought up in the true academies of football in the eighties, someone who has played for Liverpool, Arsenal, Forest etc.

I would favour Liam Brady, Steve McMahon, rather than Steve Cotterill (although he left Luton when the players were not getting paid).

Wasn't Steve Coppell as history graduate? Looks like he is part of history now.

Not the real one
Stopped buying the Arsegas after the Prosser incident last year. Naylor is useless, but Bradshaw is the biggest twat. They are so not supporting of the club, its fans or the Falmer Stadium.
