Unfortunately, no surprises in the performance or the outcome.

We were 4/7 favs beforehand and traded at 1/4 before the collapse.

At the break it was basically Even money, your choice of two.

This Willy chap won it on his own.

Willey the difference between the teams tonight.
Supreme one-handed catch to diminish Jayawardana who was on a roll and then smash the Sussex bowlers across BN3 postcode was match winning.
Well played David Willey.

This. "Robinson" assembled what was on paper one of the strongest XIs ever to represent our beloved county.

Wright out for 0 (which happens when it is just not your night), Jayawardene flying then gone to a miracle catch, and Bailey dismissed by an umpiring aberration, all limited our score to something about 15 runs below par.

Then we ran into a bloke who played the T20 innings of his life.

But there is a bit more to it than that.

The game may not have been won by us but I am certain it would have been tighter had:

- Some thought been given to varying our bowling instead of the length stuff.
- Some thought been given to selecting Jordan who was so rusty
- Some thought been given to Beer coning before Jordan

and poor Mike Yardy. At one time one of the most economic bowlers on the T20 circuit.....

So basically you are saying, with T20 hindsight, that the gamble of playing Chris Jordan didn't pay off and that some bowlers (who had previously done well in this year's competition) didn't execute their plans.

It is always easy to argue with the veil of 'hindsight'. In any past event with a topic up for debate commenting will be with hindsight. Your point?

My obvious point is that no-one with a working knowledge of professional cricket would have left Chris Jordan on the sidelines last night - and yet that is what you seem to be claiming should have happened.

I do not have a working knowledge of professional cricket.
