Brighton 0 Everton 0, last day of season May 1980. Glorious sunshine. Shit game. Big crowd. Top flight.
I hope you weren't in the North Stand... I was a loyal fan who had been going for years and got forced to stand in the West that day...Timbo said:My first game was the FA Cup quarter Final against Norwich and I hated it.

Was back in 1988, i went to my first game at the age of 7, cant remember who scored for us, but we lost 3-1 to bradford on the opening day of the season, i loved it even though we lost.
After that we lost about 8 games in a row, but still stayed up
I think Chelsea may have even won the league that year (division 2 in old money)
even though times seem bad now, i still love going. The passion about going is still the same as it was 19 seasons later

And everything was in black and white, flat caps and a big rattle.dougdeep said:We beat Darlo 2-0 in mine. I wrote a poem about my first game and it was printed in one of the fanzines. Back in the days when we had Fanzines of course.
