My first game was the FA Cup quarter Final against Norwich and I hated it.
I hope you weren't in the North Stand... I was a loyal fan who had been going for years and got forced to stand in the West that day...

Some things never change!! I hope you had an outragous flounce saying you'd never go again!!

No, I was in the bottom corner of the East Terrace (where there were about 6 steps) and could see approximately nothing.

There was a fine display of violence at Hove Station after that game!

I have NO idea - it will have been around 1975-6, so I was around 5-6 years old. I'm always fairly envious of those people who have a clear recall of their first Albion experience - like hearing a certain piece music, for me, the Albion was always just there, part of life.

Me too, 35 years this April. First game a 3-2 victory against Wrexham at the Goldstone.

My first game was against Wrexham as well, only a couple of years earlier. We won 2-0 under Pat Sayward.

This is why we should keep the faith

Was back in 1988, i went to my first game at the age of 7, cant remember who scored for us, but we lost 3-1 to bradford on the opening day of the season, i loved it even though we lost.

After that we lost about 8 games in a row, but still stayed up

I think Chelsea may have even won the league that year (division 2 in old money)

even though times seem bad now, i still love going. The passion about going is still the same as it was 19 seasons later

Tsk. Mental :nono:

Alright nurse, put him in the 'barmy army' section with the rest

First game I remember was the play off final in 91.
I made a seagulls banner out cardboard and everything.
Sure I went to the goldstone before then but don't remember which games...
My earliest football memories are of my Dad either coming back from the game or checking teletext for the score

1967 sometime, 1-1 against Middlesbrough and my dad was a Boro supporter and the point pretty much meant that they were promotoed. I think I stood in the South stand. I seem to remember a penalty but I was very young and it's all a little bit hazt. Strangely enough I didn't revisit and start supporting the Albion until the 1990/91 season. When I started off with a 3-3 draw and a 4-2 (Swindon / Boro again???). I was then disappointed when there weren;t six goals every game.

We beat Darlo 2-0 in mine. I wrote a poem about my first game and it was printed in one of the fanzines. Back in the days when we had Fanzines of course.
