Oh what a day!

The morning and large part of the afternoon spent listening to a man spout poetry about the war; one lady sing polictical songs that didnt even rhyme and I had to make polite chit chat with the 'Coursing Society' lot.

Also found myself chatting to Kitten from Big Brother who I vaguely knew at uni as she was there handing out leaflets for some anti sweat shop campaign.

All in all the delegates were very receptive to our cause and many seemed already clued up on it which is encouraging.

The MP for Huddesfield promised to raise the question of Falmer at the conference and said that the party as a whole was well aware that the fooballing community was behind us and that a no decision would cost them votes nationwide.

A board member ofr QPR also came on the march.

I know bhaexpress has been there - and also Tim Carder (The History Man?) and Paul Camillin (Henfield One).

I was there for a couple of hours this morning, until the Hunting mob arrived and suddenly a football stadium seemed to be the last thing on everyone's minds.

Would echo that we had excellent support from most delegates, who seemed very clued up about the stadium. Also lots of congratulations for the march yesterday and comments about how good-humoured it was (unlike that "f***ing lot here today").

Support from all over the country - Wigan, Cardiff, Burnley, Watford..... Also a lady from Brent East who knew that some of the MPs in her area had received letters from people about Falmer - proof that the national letterwriting/postcard campaign worked!

One delegate turned to his mate and said "This is the lot that sent 90 bunches of flowers to Prescott you know."

Just out of interest who were the other people helping give out leaflets (i.e. there screen names)?

I was on duty on Sunday and had some very good responses from people.A lot of delegates were knowledgable about our plight. One gentleman who I handed a card to said.
" I am on your side, know all about the stadium plans, you have our support,I am on the planning committee".
I replied all we want is our stadium. he turned with a big grin on his face gave the thumbs up and said "You will get it".
Not sure who he was,but was really encouraging.
Four of us were there from 9.30 until 15.30 shame that we didn't have more support to spread the work load.

   to BHA Express and Rose / Jo pants ? I think who were there for 3 days.
