a young peter sutcliffe tries his hand at pop

Very near me is a creepy shop, halfway up Elm Grove. It's a palmist and got photos from the 50s in the window. Jayne Mansfield having her palm read by a creepy bloke who is the spit of Paul. Or Peter.

But not Mary.

Two from the same band, first has vocals by Tina Charles (of I love to love fame), though the stand out has to be the matching gold lame strides of the guitarists.

It was either this or Laura Branigan with Gloria. Two more guilty pleasures of mine.

I'm glad other people love that video as much as me. It's mesmerising. The girl in the boots, the dude in the grey jacket and Bobby so coked up that he looks like me after a weekend sniff bender. Marvellous.

This is pure genius. I've got tears rolling down my cheeks I'm laughing so much. He's off his chomp.

And a right motley crew behind him. Some look like they were on the same bender and came to the studio with him (that girl in boots and grey dress). Others look like they have popped in from a wedding disco next door (chap in check shirt behind girl in dress). There is also some guy carrying a kid?

The girl in boots is alluring.....then she goes all special needs clappy.

I've always had a soft spot for Slovenian industrial neo-classicists Laibach. This is their high water mark in my opinion. I get the feeling their lives were always leading to this: dressing up in WWII gear and releasing a Wagnarian cover of an Opus track. Where do they go from here?

Thanks Greens :(
Have you heard his version of Trans Slovenian Express, 1066FM? Marvellous stuff

Another Euro-hit, Sheila with Spacer. I'm such a sucker for a skinny bird with a foreign accent

Always wondered what the B stood for, and now I know...

It's in my all-time disco top five, along with Disco Inferno by Trammps, Change of Heart by Change, You Gave Me Love by Crown Heights Affair and Lost in Music by Chic (Sister Sledge?)...
