Is it open yet?

I see from the official site that Dick's and the Club shop are open during the day. But there is nothing about the museum that I can see (I'm probably just being thick). Does anyone know if and when it is open?

Ta very muchly.

Isn't open yet and haven't heard when it will be as yet.
Shame because I was looking forward to having a mosey around.

Ta, thanks very much. Might still drive over for lunch at Dick's tomorrow.

The History Man is Mr Carder who it may be worth a PM. I know he has been really busy with the organising of the museum recently.

What a great idea!

What will go in it?

A headband from the early 80's; a cup final programme; maybe a turnstile from the Goldstone Ground?

What a ridiculous idea!

We have quite a rich heritage as a club and I actually think a museum would be really interesting. I'd love to see Peter Wards shirt and some Goldstone turnstiles!

When I asked in the shop, I was told that the museum wouldn't be open til Xmas. Personally I think a museum is a great idea especially for a club with such a turbulent history from FA Cup finalists to teetering on the brink of falling out of the football league.

Tim carder is one hell of a busy man, doing lots of things for the Albion behind the scenes. The latest was the Heritage Board on the site of the old Goldstone which was launched just before the start of the season. Tim also produced a wonderful leaflet to assist with those wishing to re-create the walk from the Goldstone via Withdean to falmer.

On top of this he is working flat out on bits for the museum.

As I understand it, the museum is likely to be open around November time. It is better to be patient and do the job properly and have it as a true memory jogger, than rush it through and it be a waste of everyone's time.

I believe it will form part of the tour in the fullness of time.

As a member of BHACHS, Tim sent out a letter to us recently advising that it was going to take at least another couple of months for the Museum to be completed and as per the last post, November may be a reasonable estimate.

I am sure it will be a great addition to the stadium when it is ready. In the mean time, there is plenty to marvel at around the rest of the stadium and the Museum will be with us for a long time ahead, so there's no real rush really is there?

To paraphrase a quote from Life of Brian... "Is not the miracle of the stadium enough?"

Be good if The Sussex Regiment were included in the museum. Its currently at the old Napoleonic Fort on Eastbourne beach. If they had a bits at the amex (like the photos of the drill on the goldstone) then it might get a few more punters in for them

The museum is a MASSIVE project and one that needs to be done properly, rather than a rush job to coincide with the opening of the stadium.

Tim is working UNBELIEVABLY hard on the project and when finished, it will be a thing for us all to be proud of and will be a brilliant chronicle of the history of our club.

I can't f***ing wait
