What a waste of time reading this thread has been.

1: Murray's Back.
2: Oh no he's not.
3: We want Murray/We don't want Murray
4: Eddie won't let Murray go.
5: And repeat.

96.2% of NSC is a waste of time, but it occupies lives that would otherwise be spent in more productive ways, so it's all good.

There's a difference between average goals per game and consistency.

You could have a goal record that reads (to keep the maths simple): 3 0 3 0 0 0 0 0 0 4 that's a fantastic average of a goal every other game, but you've failed to score in 70% of the games you've played. Great average, poor consistency.

That's actaully an average of a goal a game.

No point in signing a striker at his age particularly now when we have players coming off the injured list

We are only talking about a loan signing until the end of the season at the moment, so I don't see that his age is a big concern.

As long as he is capable of scoring goals up until the end of May. that's all that matters.

Brighton / Hove actually
andy Naylor

According to Argus sources doesn't really say much to be fair. There is no good reason for Howe to allude to anything different until a deal is done. Our club denied interest in Zamora until he signed. Secrecy is key and well practiced these days and it’s easier to deny everything than open a new can of worms prematurely.

Naylor saying Smug Eddie is still not allowing this deal.

I imagine it's all about the cash.
All about the cash in that Bournemouth are in real danger of dropping into the bottom 3 and losing a minimum of £97m next year, and that Murray, who is named in their 25, may well be needed at the sharp end of the season if injuries or suspensions happen.

Do you class 8 goals in 18 appearances as 'not much'? Compared to the striker stats we had last season, that performance is amazing!

Fair enough , those are good stats . I have a few reading fan friends and they weren't sorry to see him go . But yeah , good stats

Err. When?

Certainly Naylor suggested frequently through the summer that his sources suggested we had no interest in Zamora

The interesting (if you can go that far) aspect to this is the very fact that The Argus went with the story in the first place. Remember they don't print rumour or hearsay according to Andy Naylor himself. He has said the story wasn't agent driven. Bozza informed us that he saw an email to the club from Andy Naylor saying he was going to run the story the next day. I assumed at the time that this was without the club's involvement but perhaps that was wrong and he was just confirming it would be in the next day's paper. Otherwise who is the "source?" No-one at Brighton and not the agent so there is only Bournemouth and Glenn himself left! Something doesn't add up anyway.
