Glenns agent played brinkmanship with the Albion concerning his wages and unfortunately for the player the Albion called his bluff.

Murray didn't want to go to Palace and after visiting Palace he went back to the Albion and tried to get our final offer reinstated - but it was withdrawn and he was told to go.
I would say thats spot on,its obvious he wanted to stay and still lives in brighton,he just used his one great season as a way of getting his money up.

My son posted a similar story to this around the time Glenn signed for Palace, and was mocked on here. He got the info from an ex-Albion player.

Tis true - info came from someone very reliable within Club. I believe it 100%.

Plus Glenn still lives here so it makes sense that he would want to stay with Albion

The most curious thing..
Can't you lot just get over it.

A player joined and then left to go somewhere else. He wasn't the first and won't be the last.

Big Deal !!!

It just doesn't make sense. Go and talk to Palace - yes. Tell Brighton you've been offered more and ask them to match it - yes. But reject the Brighton offer, putting noses out of joint, before going to Palace to see if you like it? - no. You could do all the negotiating and even go to Palace without Brighton knowing and without pissing people off. Your agent does the negotiating, he's the one the clubs argue with etc.

Even if you have decent sources, that doesn't make it true. There will be Brighton players that didn't like Glen, who may want to spread gossip. Only people like Gus and Tony would know, and what they tell the other players may not even be the whole truth.

the reason he isn't being played is because Freedman doesn't believe a striker can play more than 16 games in a row which Murray did from October through to the end of December. Other than cup games, Murray hasn't really started since then as his form dipped towards the end of the 16 game run.

The plan is for Murray to re-charge his batteries while Easter starts. Murray will then come in with 12 or 13 games to go and give Easter a break and push on once Williams returns from his injury.
What? Your manager has a 16 game rule? And he's told you all of his plans? Well maybe you should advise Dougie to treat each striker individually. If they're getting tired, perhaps rest them for a game before it's too late and they have to miss 2 months.

Suggest you see Freedman's interview with the Papers today for more of his details.

Our Manager does tactics.

Your Manager does racism.

Our players get rested.

Your players get arrested.

He's right though - you won't make the playoffs. We'll find it difficult enough to get to them and have 7 ( or 4 ) points more than you.

Its still possible.

So...., he doesn't know what he's doing?

No he doesn't. He is a shit clueless manager.

f*** off Dougie Freedman.
