Only two others on the shortlist:

Craig Mackail-Smith - Peterborough United
Bradley Wright-Phillips - Charlton Athletic

Surprised Lalana wasn't in there. And Bennett or El Abd. But well done Glenn! I think CMS will win it though.

Great to see Glenn in there but no Bennett? Strikes me as a little odd. And no Oxlade-Chamberlain? I thought he was the best player outside the Prem?!

it be Craig Mackail-Smith by a mile because hes scored more then murray this month and if murray took the other chances he had in the last few matches he would of won it

I dont begrudge Murray anything,he is having the season of his life, that will in part set him up for life. My worry is that his wage demands ,even if we are in the chapionship will just be too steep for us.

Is it a bit odd that all three are strikers?

Smacks of a nine year old picking them doesn't it. With the amount of assists Bennett has he deserves to be in the top three for sure, more than Murray I would say.

Definitely! Not taking anything away from Glenn, as he has many moments of magic, but without Elliott I doubt we'd be in this position at the moment. In fact, the team as a whole are why we are where we are. Think we'd win team of the year, but that is given to the winner of the league I guess

Half of these awards are just a waste of time. People take the easy option and vote for the top scorer or the manager who wins the league. That said, this year Gus should be a shoe in for League One manager unless Orient continue their great run and Slade would be his only challenger. Look at the Prem. Think Hodgson won last year but other than that it is normally the manager of the team that wins, irrespective of how much easier it is to manage when you can spend what you like!!!

Strange how its just the top three strikers

Strikers do the hardest job in football, sticking the ball in the onion bag. Thats why they demand the highest wages and transfer fees....Defences and Keepers may earn you a point but its strikers that win games and earn all three....Thats why 9 times out of ten its always a srtiker that wins awards in these things..Our own personal player of the year should mean more, because thats from your own fans. My vote is for El Abd for pure consistencey, hardly ever has a below 7 performance and you cant say that about any other player. Not Bennnett or Murray, most of them have the odd off game. But not our Adam this year, he has been immence all season.

If Slade can get Orient into the play offs, I'd say that he would edge any managerial award over Sir Gus, to be honest. Orient are competing against at least a dozen clubs with significantly better/more resources than they've got.
